Lily Ann's Baptism.

So we decided to get Lily Ann baptized on Christmas Eve since the whole family would be together, minus Luke who is back in Iraq. We had looked all over for a dress for her to wear and were running out of time. Georgia finally found "the dress" it's absolutely beautiful and when I saw it I knew it was the one! Lily Ann did great in church and only fussed for a second while getting baptized and fell asleep for the rest of the service! Here's some pics from Christmas Eve.
Georgia, Jacob, Lily Ann, Me, and Kennie. This is the only pic out of 3 that I have that more than one of us didn't have our eyes closed!

Jacob, Lily Ann, Me, and Rev. Orr!

Erika, Mom, Jacob, Lily Ann, Me, Emily, and Dad!

Becky, Jacob, Lily Ann, Me, and Ben.

Nanny and Lily Ann.. This is my favorite picture of them!!

Vicks Vapor Rub!!

So I got an email a couple of months ago saying that if you are stuffed up to put Vicks Vapor Rub on your feet and cover with socks before you go to bed and it's supposed to help. We have all been sick with the sinus' you know stuffy nose, watery eyes, headaches, coughs, etc. So I decided to give it a try last night becuase I thought I had nothing to loose except some smelly feet! LOL!! So last night before I went to bed I put a thick layer on my feet, put on my comfy socks, and hopped into bed!! Within 20 minutes I felt so much better. I couldn't believe it! Slept like a baby all night long. I wasn't waking up coughing and having to blow my nose every 15 minutes. It was GREAT!! I also must suggest the Advil Cold and Sinus..I swear by this stuff. Usually when something says non-drowsy it knocks me out but this does not. It's a pain in the butt to sign your life away just to get a box (You have to get it behind the Pharmacy counter, give your drivers license, and all that info..I'm surprised they don't fingerprint you...LOL!) but it's so worth it!! So since it is the season for sickness I thought I would let you know that it does work to coat your feet with Vicks, slap on socks, and sleep soundly!

Lily Ann meets Santa.

Well we decided to take Lily Ann tonight to see Santa for the first time! We had all the family there to experience the whole thing and it was great! We decided to dress Lily Ann in my coming home outfit since it is Christmas theme! I can't believe the outfit is 28 years old and still looks so good! She does look like a candy striper or a candy cane but she didn't mind!! LOL! I must say that I was very dissatisfied with the Santa at the mall! He apparently had other things to do because it was apparent that he didn't want to be there! The only really good picture we got of Lily Ann smiling Santa's eyes were closed. Go figure! This is the only pic that I have right now I will upload the other one we got later! By the way it's a picture from my phone so it's not that great!

We have a very busy next couple of days. Lily Ann is getting baptized tomorrow evening at church. All the family will be in town for her special day! We are also very excited for her first Christmas! Please pray for my family as my Grandfather is not doing well! I'm just so happy that he got to meet Lily Ann and so is he! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas! I will post pics from the next few days later!!

Aunt Erika and the stroller mis-hap!!

So Erika, Lily Ann, and I went shopping on Friday afternoon for a Christmas outfit for me since, for some reason, the dryer has shrunk all dress clothes!! Geez, you would think I've had a baby or something! LOL!! Anyways back to this funny story!! Poor Erika just can't seem to do things right with our baby!! So I put Lily Ann in her stroller, you know the ones that you just put the car seat in, and we head to Old Navy. Once in the store Erika wanted to push the stroller, which was her first mistake and mine!! I knew that nothing good would come of Erika having anything to do with my daughter..LOL!! So Erika is talking about how amazing the stroller is and how she should take it off roading with Lily Ann in it! She's pushing it and turning it around and just laughing and for some reason can't get over how well it handles. So then Erika says "I feel weird because Lily Ann won't stop staring at me it's like she's out to get me!" I was laughing so hard because it's Erika and we all know how she can be! So we are headed down the isle looking for clothes and Erika is telling Lily Ann "Stop looking at me! How would you like if I looked at you all the time it would drive you crazy!!" (I'm thinking Erika you do just stare at her all the time!!) She is bent in the stroller talking to Lily Ann while still pushing the stroller! Next thing you know BANG!! She runs my daughter into a clothes rack! Thank God I had her strapped in because as hard as she hit it Lily Ann would have gone flying across Old Navy, she probably would have landed in Target!! HAHHAHA!! I about fell to the floor laughing and the look on Erika's face was Oh Lord, I'm in trouble now!! Erika through her laughing said "I forgot I was pushing the stroller I was trying to tell your daughter not to stare at me and I didn't see the clothes rack!!" Well duh Erika if your head wasn't in the stroller you would have seen the big rack with all the clothes on it, even with her head in the stroller you still couldn't miss the thing, especially with all the bright colors.. But we are talking about Erika!! So after we compose ourselves and bat off the evil looks we continue on our adventure, that's what I now am calling anything we do with Erika! Not even 5 minutes later, BANG!! You have got to be kidding me? Erika seriously I think my child now has whip lash!! This time Erika hit the clothes rack so hard I thought she was going to fly into the stroller with Lily Ann!! Her face looked like a monster just jumped out in front of her! "How could you not see the rack with all the shoes on it? It's right in front of you?" As Erika replies, "I don't think I should be pushing your baby, Erin she wouldn't stop staring at me and I was trying to have a staring contest with her and I don't know who won because I looked away after I hit the rack and I don't know if she looked away first!!?" HAHAHA!! I lost it!! She was as serious as a heart attack!! If I ever wanted to fall to the floor laughing this was it!! Needless to say I then took over the stroller from that point on!!

Poor Aunt Erika!! LOL!!

So yesterday Lily Ann and I ventured up to Fayetteville so Erika could clean my teeth and to get my hair done, since I didn't get a chance to get it done before I left Florida! So last night after we got home from a wonderful dinner with the girls, Sarah, Sara, and Courtney, I had yet to set up Lily Ann's packnplay. Not to mention that we were about an hour off our schedule plus she was hungry and when she is hungry she has to let the whole world know!! LOL! So Erika and I decided that I would feed her the first half of her bottle then she would do the second half while I set up her bed. So I get through feeding her and then Erika says:"Hand her over, I'll burp her!" and I said:"Don't worry I'll do it!" but she was so adamant about burping her so I handed her over! As soon as Erika put her up on her shoulder Lily Ann let out the biggest wettest burp I think I had ever heard! The look on Erika's face was priceless! Erika looks at me and says:"That's how it's done!" well I knew that she was going to projectile from the way the burp was and I sat back and waited for it! God, I wish I had my camera because what happened next is only seen in movies!! All of a sudden there was another little burp and then the flood gates opened up! I mean spit up everywhere and Erika couldn't move she was soooo shocked! I about fell off the couch laughing so hard! Well lil miss Lily Ann wasn't done with her yet! She spit up more and she hadn't spit it out yet! Erika turns to look at her and Lily Ann does the same with Erika! All of a sudden out of now where Lily Ann coughs at the same time Erika goes to say something to here!! SPLAT!! She spits all over Erika's face and in her mouth!! HAHAHAHA!! I have never seen Erika's eyes get so big and turn ghostly white! I don't know if it was the spit up or she really turned white!! Erika turns to look at my,gagging mind you, and her face looked like someone had taken a paint brush full of white paint and just splattered it all over her face!! I feared for my daughters life at this point, I could just see Erika dropping her and running off!! I have never seen Erika move so fast in my life, running for her life towards the toilet. She couldn't even speak because she had a mouth full! I lost it and couldn't stop laughing then Lily Ann decided to chime in as well!! I could hear Erika in the bathroom yelling and trying to brush her teeth and filling her mouth with mouthwash to get the taste out! If she would have stood still long enough I could have got the best picture ever! We have been joking with Erika that Lily Ann was going to throw up in her mouth because Erika will pick her up and hold her above her head after she has eating! Well now she really did!! Poor Poor Aunt Erika.. Needless to say I think she is done feeding my child!!

Lily Ann's weigh in!!

Well so Lily Ann was supposed to go back to the doctor on this past Monday for a weight check up since she had only gained the 4 ounces over a month. So I've really noticed how she has really started to put on the weight. Her little legs are turning into chubby baby legs and her belly looks like she drinks a 12 pack of beer everyday!! LOL!! So I just know that she has actually gained weight and we have been trying to find a scale that we can weigh her on to find out! As many times as we have visited the hospital to visit my Grandfather you would have thought that we would remember to get her weighed but we always forget. So today Erika, Lily Ann, and I were up visiting my Mom and the ladies she works with, we were all talking about how we should get her weighed and I was saying how I need to get her on a scale that weighs pounds and ounces. Well I'm sitting there and then all of a sudden a light goes off in my head and I start laughing as I'm looking at my mother and say "Don't you guys have a postage machine in here the tells you the weight of items that you are shipping?" Mom laughing at me says "Yes, but it's very small and we can't lay her on it!" To which I respond "Well she can stand on it.Let's try it and see what it says!" So we proceed to the workroom and Mom turns on the machine as we are both laughing hysterically. I place Lily Ann up on the little scale, which is the size of a picture frame that holds a wallet. She puts her first foot down and for some reason keeps moving her other leg. We finally get her to stand up as I'm holding on to her. (By the way she loves to stand and is very good at it, of course with help!) By this point we are laughing so hard we can't see.. Finally Mom says "For some reason it's not giving the weight but if you want we can ship her First Class for $1.17" I lost it and couldn't stop laughing! I wonder how much insurance would be?? We have been laughing about it all day!! When Jacob called to check in on us I was telling him about it and I don't think I have ever heard him laugh so hard in my life! He said that we can ship her to him!! LOL!!

Here's some pics that Mom took of her the other day as I was giving her a bath!! Which she absolutely loves!!

Lily Ann meeting her Grandpa B and Uncle Matt!

Okay so I'm a horrible person because I completely forgot to post about when Lily Ann met her Grandpa B and Uncle Matt!! My mind has been out of whack every since we arrived last week! LOL!! This should have been posted earlier in the week, but like I said my mind is lost in la la land! I didn't even take pictures until Thursday night when we were over visiting! So the pics you see are from Thursday night.

I took Lily Ann over to see them Sunday after we got back from Ozark visiting PawPaw. It was so nice to see the way that her Grandpa B just loves her. She already has him wrapped around her little finger. He would sit in the rocking chair with her and then as soon as she would make a peep he would get up and walk around with her! She just loves to watch him and she just smiles every time he talks to her! Another really neat thing is they have a crib that is over 50 years old, and if I remember right it was Jacob's Uncle's crib,(Don't hold me to it) All four boys also slept in the crib. You can see it in the pictures! Lily Ann also loves to watch her Uncle Matt.. Her little eyes just follow him where ever he goes.. She's always looking for him! Here are some pics!

Poor fussy baby!!

I consider myself to be such a lucky person especially with Jacob's work schedule! Man are we really missing him today! Lily Ann has been fussy all day long! No matter if she is held or not! I finally had to put her down in her packnplay and walk away because she was so tired and wouldn't sleep. She finally cried herself to sleep in less than 5 minutes. I stood outside the door until she did! LOL!! I wanted to go in and pick her up but I knew better. It was by far the hardest thing I've had to do! So I decided to hop in the shower while she was napping. 10 minutes later she was crying again so I went in and put her passy back in and she stopped crying and then looked up at me and spit it out and started crying again! So what do you think I did next? I put it back in and the same thing happened again!! LOL!! After the third time I put it back in and made a dash for the door because I knew I would be playing the game all day if I didn't. She once again cried for less than 5 minutes and was out like a light! 10 minutes later she started crying again so I stuck my head in and her eyes were closed while crying so I knew she was ok. I came up to the living room and got online to check my email, now mind you I had told my dad earlier that we need to let her cry because I can't be doing this all day long, next thing you know the crying stopped and then here comes my dad carrying Lily Ann into the living room saying I can't stand to hear her cry!! Go figure! All that work for nothing but I guess that's what Grandparents are for right?

I usually have Lily Ann to myself for 48 hours straight while Jacob is on duty and every other weekend, which he usually gets to come home at least one night on the weekends when he's on duty. It's so nice to have his work schedule and he's such a big help. My Mom, Dad, and sisters have been helping out a lot too but there's just something that is comforting knowing that he's there! Tuesday can not get here quick enough! LOL! I'm not complaining by any means because I know that I have it easy, I'm just stressed and I know that she is feeding off of my emotions! I have faith that when she wakes up everything will be better, oh yeah and Grandma will be home from work!! HAHAHA!! I think I'm going to invest in a shock collar for my dad and every time he goes to the door to get her I'm going to shock him!! LOL!!

Lily Ann meeting her PawPaw and Aunt Erika!

Well Lily Ann and I finally made it to Arkansas on Saturday night! We flew out of Tampa at noon and arrived in Little Rock a little after six! It was a very long day to say the least. Lily Ann is now considered "that baby" on the plane. Traveling alone with a 2 1/2 month old is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, and I'm not lying! She did awesome on our flight from Tampa to Charlotte so I decided to grab something to eat in the airport and as soon as I got my food and sat down all of the sudden out of no where something evil took over my baby girl! LOL! She apparently wanted to eat right then and there and I couldn't get her bottle to her quick enough. Everyone was looking at me like I was some crazy mother. Non the less she ate and by the time she was done I wasn't hungry anymore! On the flight from Charlotte to Little Rock was a whole other story! We sat on the runway for about 20 minutes and then all of a sudden the evil attacked her again! HAHAHA!! The poor guy next to me was so sweet. I'm holding a screaming baby and trying to make a bottle so I said to him here hold this bottle while I mix everything. LOL! HE was such a good sport. Lily Ann ate and went to sleep for the whole flight except for the last 10 minutes when we were descending. Her ears were bothering her so I gave her a bottle with a little water which seemed to help! I couldn't get to Emily and Erika quick enough to pass her off! I was totally exhausted and so was she! Erika hadn't ever met Lily Ann before and it was love at first sight! We all went and ate dinner fed the baby and left for Fort Smith! We finally got home at 11 pm. Lily Ann and I had been traveling for 16 hours total and we needed bed! My hats go off to any parent traveling alone with a child!!

On Sunday morning we got up and headed to Ozark to see my grandfather, PawPaw! He has been waiting to meet Lily Ann! He has been really sick for a few weeks and all he wanted was to finally see her! We took the boppy so he would be able to hold her. She would just stare at him and grin and he couldn't do anything but smile back at her! She finally fell asleep in his arms and it was the sweetest thing ever! Lily Ann loves her PawPaw!! Here are some pics that we took. I've also added a pic of Lily Ann and Aunt Erika. I have the pic of when they first met but it's on my camera and my cord is back in Florida!! So I'll add those pics next week when Jacob gets here!

Coming home to Arkansas!

Well we had a good Thanksgiving yesterday! Lily Ann, Luke, and I went to the station to have Thanksgiving dinner with Jacob since he was on duty. I finally got to talk to my grandfather last night and it seems he has taken a turn for the worse. He was diagnosed with Lung Cancer last year and it has actually gone away for the second time. Three weeks ago he fell in his carport and broke 3 ribs puncturing his lung. He has been in the hospital since. He's loosing weight and is now having trouble talking. He keeps asking when will he get to see his first Great-Granddaughter. Dad told him the other day that we would be home in 2 weeks (which was the original plan) but Lily Ann and I are flying out tomorrow. When Emily brought him some Thanksgiving Dinner he said that he needed it to last 2 weeks. Mom, Emily, and Erika said that he is very peaceful and is waiting on Lily Ann. Erika said she had always heard people talk about how some people hold out for certain things and now she understands! I am very excited about coming home and getting to see everyone, I just wish it was under different circumstances. We will be flying out of Tampa and into Little Rock, (since I didn't want to pay $1200 to fly into Ft. Smith from here..LOL) We will be staying until December 30th. Jacob will be driving home on the 9th with Amber! (What a sight that will be!) I'm very nervous about flying with Lily Ann by myself but I know that it will be okay! Please keep my family in your prayers and I look forward to seeing everyone soon!!

What a fussy baby!!

I was so happy this morning when Jacob had to wake me up to wake up Lily Ann to feed her! She usually sleeps from about 930-6am but this morning is was 7am. Jacob was headed to work so I got up to feed her (which she basically slept through the whole feeding). After her bottle she went back down like she always does and I had to wake her at 1145am to feed her again! I think I just should have let her sleep because she has been fussy all morning and wants to be held! I'm so thankful Jacob is home today to help. I have so much to get done before Uncle Luke gets here in the morning! I'm guessing it was a gas bubble because I just heard Jacob do the "Aawwwww She got me!" HAHAHA!!

Lily Ann is now drinking almost 5 ounces every 3 hours during the day with rice cereal in the bottle to get her to fatten up! I'm very surprised that she took to the rice so well. We had problems with her in the past with spitting up so much but since we have added the rice she hardly every spits up! We are trying to get her on a schedule now since she sleeps so well at night! Lily Ann is not one for naps during the day she usually has about 2-4 "cat naps", which if we are lucky may last 30 minutes but are usually 10-20 minutes, just long enough to get in the shower..LOL!! (I never knew I could shower and get ready so quickly! LOL) The only time she ever really sleeps during the day is if she is in her car seat and we are out running errands! Here's what we do typically during the day:

6am-Wakes for feeding/Diaper change
7am- Goes back to bed
11:30am- wakes up for feeding
12:00pm-Change diaper get dressed for the day(This is usually when we get our errands run for the day) we are lucky if we get a 15 minute nap in!
2:30pm-Feeding/Diaper Change
3:00pm-tummy time on her play mat and sometimes Baby Einstein movie (which she loves!!)
3:45pm-Rock her to sleep for a nap!
4:30pm-up from nap!! HAHAHA!! (Sometimes she will sleep longer but usually not!)
5:30pm Bottle/Diaper Change
6:00pm-Fix dinner/try and get some housework done/She usually will fall asleep for a little bit around this time!
7:45pm-Bath time (which is her favorite!!)
8:30pm-Last bottle
9-9:30pm- Bed time!

We are so lucky that she sleeps through the night! I will take "Cat Naps" during the day over waking up every 2-4 hours in the night! LOL!! If you have any advice on getting her to take longer naps during the day I would appreciate it!!

Cocoa Beach

Jacob, Lily Ann , and I headed to Cocoa Beach on Wednesday morning when Jacob got home from duty. We arrived at Allie and RJ's around 1 pm, just in time for Lily Ann's feeding. Allie's daughter, Aubree, who is almost 4, was out the door as soon as we pulled up. She just loved Lily Ann and Lily Ann loved her! Aubree wanted to do everything for Lily Ann except change her diapers.lol! We put Lily Ann down for a nap in her packnplay and Aubree pulled up her little chair and would stand on it to watch to make sure she was still sleeping! She was such a big help.. Who needs a baby monitor when you have Aubree! Our friends Chris and Cheri came by with their 2 little girls, Jenna who is 2 1/2 years old and Brooke who was 10 days old. I know I'm horrible I didn't get pics of all 4 girls together! We had a great time catching up! Thanks to Allie and RJ for letting us stay! By the time we got home on Thursday evening Lily Ann was completely tired! She was fussy and didn't want to be put down until she went to bed. Jacob and I were the same! Here's some pics that I took!

Proud Aubree holding Lily Ann! Lily Ann was tired from riding in the car for 3 1/2 hours!(Can you tell by her face!! LOL)

Aubree's feet next to Lily Ann's!

Aubree helping Allie feed Lily Ann her breakfast. After Lily Ann peed on Allie!! LOL!!
My favorite pic of the two of them!!

Another Great Weekend!

Well we had another great weekend! On Saturday we had Stephanie's birthday bbq down at Bonny's house! And on Sunday we did what we do every Sunday when the guys are off, went and ate lunch at Buckets, us girls came back to the house and hung out while the guys stayed and watched football! We had everyone over for dinner Sunday, I cooked chili, which was really good because it was actually cold! Well cold down here in 60 degrees!LOL! We are going home to Arkansas in a couple of weeks and then we will really remember what cold is! I took some cute pictures of Lily Ann on Sunday morning! She is so full of smiles when she wakes up in the mornings! We are headed over to Cocoa Beach in the morning to stay with our friends Allie and RJ and their little girl Aubree! My friend Cheri had her second little girl,Brooke, on Nov. 5 so we are going to have a cookout tomorrow so all the girls can play together. (Well at least Jenna and Aubree will be playing, Brooke and Lily Ann will just lay there! LOL) I can't wait to see all of them! I will post pictures as soon as we get back on Thursday!

Lily Ann's first shots!

Well yesterday went better than I thought it would! Lily Ann had her 2 month check up which included her getting her first round of shots! She did really good getting the shots, I had given her Tylenol after we got her weighed which helped out soo much! She had a harder time when the doctor checked her ears than when she actually got the shots!! After the doctor checked her ears I gave her to Jacob and she shot a look at the doctor with the look we always get when she's had enough.. We laughed soo hard!! I had Jacob hold her for the shots because I couldn't stomach it. When she was giving the first shot in her first thigh she let out a little cry, like she does when she's being changed and she doesn't want too. The second shot was basically the same. Jacob picked her up right away and she never cried! I thought I was going to puke, I asked the nurse if something was wrong because she didn't cry like I thought she was going to and she said no it's the Tylenol!! Thank the lord for Tylenol!! The nurse had told us to give her the Tylenol every 4 hours for 12 hours to keep her comfortable. I was thinking, oh no it's going to be a very long day and night, but she did great.. She basically slept all day and all night, until her normal feeding at 6:30 this am and then went back to sleep until 10:30, and woke up smiling and such a happy baby!
We did get some not so good news at the doctor yesterday.. It seems that Lily Ann had only gained 4 ounces since October 6th, which was the last time we were in!! She only weighs 7lbs. 9oz. Last time we were in we were over feeding her and now we were under feeding her.. I was very frustrated yesterday when we found this out! I had tried to up her ounces by 1/2 an ounce but it was making her very gassy and fussy so I bumped it back down! We also thought she was fine because she was eating her 3 ounces every 4 hours and was completely full after each feeding and never cried so I thought she was content, but apparently not! We now have her on 4 ounces every 4 hours and have to mix in rice cereal in her formula to get her to fatten up!! Here we were thinking yeah I bet she weighs over 8 lbs. now but we were wrong.. She is a very petite little girl.. Her pictures make her look soo much bigger than she is.. In all her pictures she looks like she has just the chubbiest cheeks ever and that's not the case!! LOL!! My girlfriend had her baby last week and she weighed more than Lily Ann does now and she's 9 weeks old today!! LOL!! We go back to the doctor in 2 weeks for a check up on her weight and I'm determined to get her to gain as much as I can!!

Our Baby is 2 Months Old!!

I can't believe Lily Ann is 2 months old today!! Time has really flew by! She is growing so fast. She is doing new things everyday.. Her new thing is when she gets excited she lets out this little high pitch scream, it's soo funny!! Jacob and I were laughing last night talking about how when we look at her and talk to her their is someone home in there!! It's not just a deep stare it's like she knows what's going on!! I still have yet to get a good picture of her smiling! Go figure!! She smiles all the time until I get my camera out and then it stops!! I will get a good one soon I just know it!!

I'm stressing out tonight because we go for her 2 month check up tomorrow and she will get her first shots! When I started thinking about it tonight I literally made myself sick. I had to go to the store at 9 pm tonight and get me some Pepto because I thought that I was going to get sick!! LOL!! I know she will be fine I just don't think I will be!! I laughed and told Jacob tonight on the phone that I'm going to wait out in the waiting room and he can take her in!! LOL!! Aahhh.. I don't think I'm going to get any sleep tonight..Poor girl doesn't know what's coming tomorrow!!LOL!! Wish us luck!!

Lily Ann smiles for the first time!!

Wow!! What a very long weekend with Jacob on duty from Friday morning til Monday early afternoon!! I was pooped yesterday when he got off duty!! LOL!! Well exciting news, Lily Ann finally smiled on Friday! I was soo excited and sad because Jacob missed it as he was on duty!! I kept trying to take pictures of her smiling and didn't get any real good ones..We have been willing her to smile for 8 weeks now and finally she did!! I can't believe our baby is going to be 2
months old tomorrow.. Time really does fly!!
I couldn't get the camera to take fast enough for the full smile!!
She was sooo done with me trying to get the picture at this point!! (I think she was trying to tell me something..HAHA!)

Friday we just lounged around the house and Stephanie came by when she got off of work Friday night and hung out for a little while.. Saturday we lounged for the better part of the day and then I decided I really needed some adult interaction, so I had the girls(Stephanie, Kelsey, Kayleen, and Bonny) over Saturday night! We had the best time just sitting around talking and having a couple of cocktails after Lily Ann went to bed.. We are soo lucky that Lily Ann has slept through the night since she was about 3 weeks old.. She has her last bottle at 10pm and doesn't wake until around 6 am now.. On Sunday Bonny, Kayleen, Lily Ann, and myself went out to lunch and then went down to the station to see our husbands.. It took us an hour to get down there as wonderful "season" has begun!! (For those of you not familiar with "season" it's when all the older people from up north make their way down here for winter to escape the cold weather! And let me tell you, talk about stress for 5 months, I have never in my life met so many rude people, horrible drivers, and I had always thought that when walking in a crosswalk people were supposed to stop but down here they speed up, even when I have the baby with me in her stroller.. Needless to say I have had my fare share of arguments in the middle of a parking lot and inside the grocery store..LOL!!) So on Sunday everyone was trying to get to the beach (which there is only one way on and one way off)which is where the station is! We finally got there after an hour of sitting in traffic. Jacob had just sat down to feed Lily Ann when they got a case of a jet ski running circles with no one on it! So needless to say we went down there to see the guys for 5 minutes..LOL! Sunday night we headed down to Stephanie's for dinner and then to Bed Bath &Beyond for some employee shopping!! Overall it was a great weekend! I am very lucky to have such wonderful girlfriends who don't mind hanging out at home with me and the baby!!

Jacob had a Dr.'s apt. today with an Orthopedic about his knee and have decided to do surgery on January 9th. They are going to go in and scope his knee and clean it out! He has had trouble with it every since high school but it has become more of a problem over the past 2 years! We decided to wait until January because we will be going to Arkansas to spend Christmas with our families and wanted to wait until after the holidays!

Family Time!

We have had a great past 2 days just the 3 of us! We enjoy having our family and friends come and visit but it's nice to get back on our routine.. We have had family visiting us every since Lily Ann was 4 days old, with a 10 day break in between. Jacob and I were talking today about how we can't believe she will be 8 weeks tomorrow and how we think she is sooo big and everyone else thinks she is so small! Everyone doesn't believe us when we tell them how old she is.. We always get oh she must be a couple of weeks old.. LOL!! All of the old people around here just love her and love to stop and tell us about how their children were not that small! She even got mistaken for a boy today!! (Don't ask me how, she had on a purple onesie, pink pants, a pink burp cloth that said Lily Ann on it, and she was sitting in a pink and brown car seat!!) HAHAHA!! I have to share this video that I took last night of Lily Ann riding on Amber's (our dog) back.. We were laughing sooo hard and poor Amber was such a good sport!! I also took more pics of her and yes we finally got a little smile out of her!! We have been working really hard on those smiles and I finally caught one yesterday!! Jacob will be on duty all weekend so it will actually be our first weekend just the 2 of us by ourselves! I will let you know how that goes.. Keep your fingers crossed! LOL!!

Halloween!!

We have had a very busy weekend. Jacob's mother (Georgia) is still in town and is leaving tomorrow morning. Friday was Lily Ann's first Halloween and it was so much fun! We looked all over for her a costume but couldn't find one little enough for her. So Friday afternoon we made our "weekly" visit to Target and I found a witches cape and put it on her and it was soo cute, so I went to look for the price tag and it was actually for a dog...HAHAHA!! We were laughing soo hard but went ahead and got it seeing it was only 50 cents.. So, yes for Lily Ann's first Halloween she was dressed in a dog costume..LOL!! We are still laughing about it!!
Friday night we headed down to Bonny and Brian's for their Halloween Party, which was also a blast as always! Jacob dressed up as "The Beer Pong Champ", I was a biker chick (Yes, I pulled my chaps out from the back of the closet..Haven't worn those in a few year..), and Lily Ann was a witch with her dog cape..LOL!! There were some really good costumes!
Saturday was a lazy day.. We all layed around all day and then went out for Jacob's birthday dinner at Ozeki Japanese Steakhouse, which is our fav!!!

Sunday was Jacob's birthday and all he wanted to do was go to the local sports bar with our friends and watch football.. We all went a little after noon ate and then the girls, Lily Ann, and I went to Target for another"Weekly" visit (it should be considered way more than weekly..LOL!) After we got through shopping we went and picked up the guys then headed back to the house to hang out.. This past weekend flew by so quickly but was soo much fun!! But I'm ready to settle back into our normal routine!!

Carving Pumpkins

Lily Ann got to watch her daddy carve her first pumpkin.. And what an experience it was. The pumpkin was so thick Jacob could barely cut into the top of the pumpkin because it was at least 2 inches thick.LOL!! After we decided on a pattern (you know the ones that come with the carving kit) he proceeded to carve the pumpkin literally breaking off all the blades in the pumpkin.. I've never seen someone work so hard to carve such a simple pumpkin. Finally the pumpkin was done..

We have a running joke with Lily Ann to smile.. We don't ever get smiles we get these:

I think she gets tired of us taking her picture.. LOL!!
