My oh my...Time flies..Hello 2014

Let me start off by saying.. Holy cow has it really been 2 1/2 years since I have updated!?! I'm horrible, I know, but let me assure you those years have flown by with lots of fun and not so much fun times! But that is life and we play with the cards we are dealt. And I for one like to think that I have been dealt a pretty good hand! I can't believe that our babies are not really babies anymore. Although they will always be my babies no matter how old they are. Lily Ann is now 5 1/2 and Cash is 3 1/2.... Seriously where has the time gone!?!

Hello 2014!! You have come in with a bang hands down! January was one of those not so much fun times..I'm not talking about a couple of days... I'm talking about the whole month.. The month started off with Jacob having knee surgery. We were not for sure exactly what to expect until the Dr. got in to actually see what all damage was done and what could be done to fix what is left. It was bad but not as bad as we had expected.. Basically the Dr. went in and cleaned all he could, trimmed very little on the meniscus (There is very little left from his previous surgery in 2009), cleaned out the loose cartilage that was floating around in the knee, and tried to preserve as much cartilage as possible. He does have a couple of places where it is all gone and it is bone on bone. (Makes me cringe just thinking about it)What it all boils down to is arthritis is basically eating up his knee and we are trying to buy as much time as possible before a knee replacement! We are almost a month out from surgery and he is doing great! His knee is getting stronger and stronger every day. Did I mention that he has basically been home with us since the middle of December except for a few days! This is the longest time we have all been together as a family in a little over 2 years.. Maybe this is why I actually have time to update. LOL! It has been GREAT!! Now he is getting ready to head back to the boat and that means transition time all over again.. But this is our life that has been given to us so we get back to our "normal" after a few days and thank God for the time that we have got to spend together as a family and pray for the time to pass quickly.

Now on to the most energetic, funny, loving, sassy little girl, Lily Ann! I can't believe she is 5 1/2 (seriously going on 18)and will be starting kindergarten in the fall.. The day after Jacob's surgery LA came down with a fever of almost 103! I pretty much kept her fever under control all day. The next day (Friday) I had got up to go to work and LA was once again running a fever and had a horrible cough.. I went ahead to school and called and made her an appointment to be seen in the afternoon and I'm glad I did. Turns out this sweet little girl had the Flu Type A. Bless her heart she would run a high fever one day and the next day be completely fine.. We repeated this about 3 times over the next week. I was literally running from our bedroom(Where she spent most of her time) and the living room where Jacob was. To say those 7 plus days were anything but stressful and exhausting would be a lie. Not to mention trying to keep Cash entertained at the same time.. I think I am probably sporting a few new grey hairs, but hey that's what hair dressers are for right!?! LA is now back to her busy self and we are getting ready to start back up Tee Ball! I'm so ready for Spring you have no idea!

Last but not least a little update on my sweet, handsome little boy! Cash is now 3 1/2!! Still in shock over that one! It seems like yesterday that we had just brought him home from the hospital. So after Jacob and LA were slowly getting back to themselves (last week)we were finally heading back to school. Wednesday was a morning like any other morning around here.. It was very cold and we were running late! HA! I had pulled up to school, unbuckled the kids, and put their jackets on. I got out of the truck and went to open up Cashs' door. Little did I know that he was leaned up against the truck (Tahoe) door with his hands in his pockets. Not realizing this, I opened the door and as I did he fell out face first and landed right on the concrete. My heart literally stopped and I thought I was going to pass out. I immediately dropped everything and picked him up. By this time LA had made it out her side of the truck and made it around to us. She was very upset and was ready to help. I couldn't see much except for blood coming from his nose and mouth and some road rash on his forehead. Then he happened to look up for a split second and I noticed that his tooth was chipped. All I knew was that I needed to get inside to get a better look and figure out where to go from there. LA grabbed all of our things and we ran to the school. Once inside, our wonderful director, was quick to help. God has blessed me with the most amazing people in my life! I was able to sit Cash down and and get a good look and that little chip was a crack all the way up his tooth. He had a busted lip and a cut on his nose. Poor boy also had road rash on his upper lip and his forehead. Luckily my Mom works in the church office so I managed to call her and she was over there with me before I knew it! I was finally able to get him calmed down enough to where I could think for a minute and find a dentist to get him in to ASAP. He kept saying "It's not fair! Mommy it's not fair!" Luckily I was able to get him seen right away! He was so brave and didn't fuss at all. And like I knew, I was told they were going to have to extract the tooth. So now my cute sweet little boy is sporting a snaggle tooth smile. Cash is not good with change and I was so worried that he was going to have a hard time adjusting to this but this little boy is so proud of his "one lost tooth" as he calls it! I have to say that I have the funniest video of him after he was given his medicine to relax him before they pulled the tooth. He laughs every time he watches it. He was sore the first couple of days but is pretty much back to normal and nothing is slowing him down!

So in a (long) nutshell this is how we started our New Year! I'm almost positive it's going to be a lot better! Jacob is finally home for a winter storm and actually got to get out and play with the kids today in the snow. I watched them from inside as they played and I was thanking God for blessing me with these 3 people who are my world and my everything! This last month has been rough and I have to admit that while I was running around like a crazy woman taking care of these 3 I wouldn't have it any other way. I am truly blessed and this picture explains it all!!

My loves...

I never imagined that I could have so much love for these 2 sweet little babies!! They are truly the light of my eyes!! I love the way they love each other.. I love the way that LA will take a toy to Cash if he is fussing or if he gets hurts she is the first one over saying "It's okay big boy!" I love the way his eyes light up when she decides that she wants to play with him. The twinkle in his eyes and the smile on his face are priceless!! I love the way Cash looks at LA and tries to talk and only jibberish comes out and LA will look at me and say "Mommy what's he saying?, He's being silly again!" I love the way that LA wants to feed Cash his bottle!! I Love how this little girl will look up at me when I'm putting her to bed and say"Good night Mommy...the end.. I love you!" Melts my heart every time. I love the way this little boy like to snuggle with me.. I especially love when he decides that he needs to take a nap with me! ;) I even love how busy they keep me running around after them! Have I told you how much I LOVE these 2!?!

My sweet sweet Lily Ann..

This picture says it ALL!!! This little girl also holds my heart in the palms of her little hands!! What can I say about this little firecracker!?! She is truly pure entertainment 24/7!! Or as Eddie calls her sweet&sour! She will be sweet one minute and then the next minute she is sour!! LOL!! I can't believe she will be 3 in a couple of months. It blows my mind! She is so smart and she knows it! She is our little actress! LA started speaking with a British accent about 6 months ago! And when I say a British accent I mean a British accent. We would have people stopping us just to hear her talk.. Of course I am her Mommy and am around her 24/7 so I never really heard it until I went back and was watching some of her videos.. Well now that sweet British accent has been replaced with a deep southern accent.. HAHAHA!! I am not kidding either! Like I said pure entertainment.. She is my little helper! Loves loves loves to help me clean and take care of Cash! She is such a help and truly keeps me laughing ALL day long!!

My little Cashman!!

This little man holds a huge piece of my heart in his tiny little hands!! He is honestly my sweet baby boy! He is still a Mommy's boy and I LOVE every minute of it! He is doing so much now. No don't worry he's not crawling (even though he will be 1 in less than 2 weeks!)he can roll and army crawl to get there faster! He is pulling up and cruising around his "cage"(play yard). He is starting to eat table food and loves it!! I have to really watch because LA is such a great big sis that she will take it upon herself to try and feed him her food! ;) He still takes 4 7oz bottles a day. We are working on the sippy cup but he really doesn't care too much for it. Lets face it! This little man just started holding his own bottle!! Yes, you read that right.. We(our family) have been trying to get him to hold it for months and he would refuse. I would even lay it on his belly and let him scream thinking that eventually he would grab it but no he wouldn't!! Wouldn't you know as soon as Jacob got home from his last deployment he says "I'll get him to hold his bottle!!" His Mom and I laughed saying yeah right... Good luck! Sure enough Jacob handed him the bottle and he took it no questions asked.. You should have seen the look on Jacob's face when he did this. I'm glad that at least Jacob got in one of Cash's first! ;) Although Cash looks big he's only 21 lbs. (40% for age)and 29 1/2 inches long (64% for his age) I was shocked when I took him in for his 9 month check up, 2 weeks ago! ;) In less than 2 weeks my baby is going to be a year old! I honestly can't believe it!! Where has the time gone!?!

Has it really been that long...

I got on here figuring I should update since it has been a while.. But now I am sad because my last post was in November of last year. To say the least we have been so busy since then.. Life with an almost 3 year old and an almost 1 year old is very hectic and honestly at the end of the day I am exhausted and posting a blog is the last thing on my mind.. But today that changes.. I will make at least 1 post a week from here on out. My babies are growing up so fast and are doing so many things that I easily forget. And I don't want to miss on second of these sweet babies lives.

Like I said the past 8 months have been very busy. The babies(Yes they are my babies, I refuse to believe that they are growing up! ;) )and I have been in Arkansas for about 7 of those months. Yes that is right.. We have actually been with Jacob maybe 6 weeks out of the past 8 months! We are enjoying this short time that we have with him now! (only 45 days)By the time that he gets back from this next deployment we will have seen him for a total of almost 3 months total in a year. And he is only scheduled to be home for a little less than 4 months over the next year. We are counting down the days til our time on this ship is up.. I am ready to have my husband home and so are the babies..Okay enough of my pity party. I'm going to update you on the 2 most precious babies in the world in the next two posts!!

Cash is 4 months old!!

It seems time has gotten away from me again! I just realized that I didn't get a post up of Cash at 3 months. I'm horrible I know but honestly by the time I get both babies in bed at night I am pooped! I am going to try and update at least once a week now that things are starting to settle down. (We will see how this works!) Now to the good stuff..

I can't believe my baby boy is now 4 months old. (Well almost 5 since I am so behind!) He has grown so much over the past few weeks it amazes me. He is such a happy baby and is always looking around smiling and talking. He has the cutest laugh but his Sissy is the only one that can get him to laugh and getting her to do that is like pulling teeth. HAHA! Here are some things that Cash is doing at 4 months:

*He weighs 14lbs 3oz. (I fed him a 5 ounce bottle right before we weighed him and the nurse laughed! So technically he weighs 5oz. less. LOL! but I'm sticking with the weight!)

*He is 24 inches long.

*He just moved up to size 2 diapers.

*He eats 5 5oz bottles a day and twice a day still gets his medicine for his reflux.

*He takes 3 naps a day 2 one hour naps and 1 two hour nap.

*He sleeps from 8ish-815. He's such a good sleeper like his Sissy.

*He is still rolling over from his tummy to his back and will get about half of a roll trying to roll back.

*He has found his voice and LOVES to talk. I think he is going to be like LA and talk every ones ears off.

*He is just now starting to wear 3-6 month clothing. (I was so sad when I had to pull those out and put up the NB clothes.)

*He loves his bath time!! Sometimes I will put him and LA in the bath with me (This is when he really laughs because he has Sissy's undivided attention)

*He no longer likes to be rocked. When he is ready for bed he is ready to be put down no questions asked.

*He is definitely a Momma's boy. He loves his Mommy and he lets it be known. (This makes me very happy!!) ;)

Cash you are growing up so fast it just amazes me and your Daddy! You are discovering something new everyday and we love to see you grow. Although, I wish you would stay small and be my sweet baby boy! We love you so much and are so happy that God has blessed us with you!

This little girl loves the HOGS!!

The video explains itself!! This little girl really thinks that the Hogs are going to get her out of trouble..(And they did!! LOL!!)
