Guess whose 6 Months old!?!

Our little baby is not so little anymore! Lily Ann turned 6 months yesterday! We can't believe how fast it has gone by! It is amazing to see how quickly they grow in such a short amount of time. She is discovering something new everyday, making new noises and sounds, and growing so fast. She definitely doesn't miss a meal! LOL!! Here are some things that she is doing:

*LOVES her Jumparoo..(I think this is the best investment that we have made so far!)

*Eats 3 meals a day, Cereal for breakfast, 1 jar of Fruit for lunch, and 1 jar of Vegetables for dinner.

*She now has 4 8oz. bottles a day minus the rice cereal.

*Has found out how to use her vocal cords..LOL!! Loves to scream and make all kinds of noises!

*Very happy..Only cries if she is tired.

*Still doesn't like to be on her belly! She will roll onto her belly then get mad and not roll back over! LOL!! Even though she can!

*Starting to sit by herself for a few seconds and then gets excited and falls over.

*When on her belly she tries to move forward but is actually scooting back..LOL!

*While playing on the floor will scoot, mostly on her back, and do circles..

*Loves Amber, our dog, who could really care less.. She will look right at Amber and start to scream until she notices her then Lily Ann opens her mouth and Amber will come over and try to lick her.. Gross, I know, I try to stop this before it happens but sometimes I'm not quick enough!

*Loves to take walks in her stroller.

*Still goes to bed around 7:15 and will sleep until 8:30ish!

*Loves loves loves bath time.. Would spend all day in the bath if she could..

*Takes 3- 45 minute naps a day.. Literally 45 minutes.. Sometimes if she is really tired she will sleep for 1 1/2 hours in the afternoon but very rare!!

*Loves her Daddy..Especially when she hasn't seen him in a couple of days..She gets sooo excited when he walks in the door and she just starts screaming and talking to him.. As if she was telling him what she has been doing the past few days while he was on duty! Melts my heart!

*Loves to be thrown in the air!(Not really thrown she never leaves our hands!) She gets that deep belly laugh going even before we start, she knows it's coming!

*She has to touch everything! And everything goes right to the mouth so we have to watch her like a hawk.

These are just a few things of what she is doing now! There is something new everyday! We take her for her 6 months check up on Monday and will get her height, weight, shots, etc. then. I can't wait to see how much our little chubster has grown.. I'm almost scared for her to get on the scales..HAHAHA!! She is definitely a "healthy" baby now!! We aren't too concerned about her being under weight anymore! LOL!! Happy Half Birthday Lily Ann, we love you so much and are sooo proud of you!! You are growing more and more each day and learning all kinds of new things! You truly have melted our hearts!!

We took LA to get her pictures yesterday! Of course she didn't really smile until we were done taking pictures...Sorry for the poor quality of pictures my scanner is having problems!! LOL!

What a morning!!!

So Lily Ann woke up earlier than she ususally does this morning! I roll out of bed still asleep to go and get her up. As I pick her up she is wet all the way up to her shoulders. Daddy didn't put our diaper on too good last night! LOL! I get her undressed and decide to that I will give her a bath after her bottle so I give her a good wipe down with the wipes, change her clothes, and proceed with the bottle. LA is like clock work. After her bottle I put her in her bouncer seat because with in 10 minutes of her bottle she has her daily poopy diaper and I wasn't about to put her in the tub and have something horrible like that happen! So when she had done her "deed" I went to pick her up and as I pick her up I realize that her legs are wet! You have got to be kidding me! Oh no here we go again! Sure enough she had exploded out the sides of her diaper! I carefully pull her pants off trying not to get the "dirty" everywhere and for the most part was pretty good about it. I get her all cleaned up throw a diaper on her and put her in her crib. (Thank goodness I hadn't taken the sheets off from this morning yet!) Start up the bath. Proceed to give her a bath and she's loving every minute of it. All I could do is laugh as I'm thinking to myself you poor little baby, thank goodness you won't remember this but I will!! LOL! So I get her out of the tub get her dressed for the day, put her in her piano toy thing, strip off the sheets in her crib, the changing table pad and cover, put back on clean sheets, changing cover and pad, and put the clothes in the sink to wash out. At this point she is past her nap time and is getting fussy so I go and get her to put her down for her nap as I go to pick her up and to put her in her crib she let out the loudest burp ever and then the flood came. Spit up all over me, herself, and the floor! So once again over to the changing table off come the clothes quickly replaced by fresh clean ones that are sure to be changed again at some point today! All of this before 10 am this morning!! I have laughed all morning thinking what else could possibly go wrong.. There is nothing more to do than laugh and think at least it makes the day go by fast because now there is extra laundry to do, carpet to clean, and keep my baby happy!! Man what a morning!! Who knew that motherhood could be so fun and full of surprises!!

What a weekend!!

So I haven't posted in a while because we have been soooo busy lately! Lily Ann and I had a great weekend together! Jacob was on duty all weekend so it was just the 2 of us. We haven't had a girls weekend in a few months. Although we missed Jacob we had a blast.

On Friday we got up at our usual time, 8:30, had our bottle, played, took our nap, then our day really began. Stephanie met us over here around 1 pm we loaded up, literally I can't go anywhere without the diaper bag, extra bottle, food, toys, diapers, etc. AKA packing for a small Army! We went to the bridal shop to see Ms. Kelsie's wedding dress! She was absolutely beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes when we walked in and saw her in her dress. After her fitting I ran across the street to work on this so called tan of mine while Steph stayed in the car with Hollywood..Thanks Steph! We dropped off Steph at the house as she had to work then headed down to the station to see Jacob for a minute and get my phone charger from him. (He accidentally took mine instead of his..) Can you believe after all this time he finally broke down and got a cell phone. I've been trying to get him to get one for the past 10 years and now he finally decided to get one!! LOL!! We left the station went home had another bottle then quickly loaded back up in the truck to head to the store. We were going to have a girls night over here so I was going to cook dinner for everyone then end the night with a chick flick. Dropped off the groceries then headed down to Stephanie's work to play hair.. I must say Lily Ann did great being lagged around all day long! I ended up not getting my hair done but I did get my non existing eyebrows waxed..LOL!! By the time we got out of the Salon it was 9:30 and it was way past Lily Ann's bed time but she didn't mind. She talked the whole way home until we pulled down the street then was out like a light! I cancelled girls night since it was so late and decided that we would do it on Sat. instead.

Saturday morning we woke up to a beautiful day. I decided to get the pool out that we would spend a relaxing day in the pool. Unfortunately the pool had mold and spiders all in it so we just had to go to Target to get a new one..Ooopppssss! Any excuse to go shopping is fine with me.. Hollywood and I set out again got to Target and saw the cutest bathing suit ever for her.. She told me she just had to have it..(How could I tell those big blue eyes no!) even though it's a 12 month bathing suit but she's sooo chunky I just knew it would fit.. We grab the pool and head back home! I get the pool set up! Steph comes over with lunch. I feed Lily Ann her lunch and she decided that she wanted to take a nap instead of swim, which was okay because the water was cold. Steph and I layed in the pool for a good hour or so while LA slept. By the time she woke up we were done in the sun and the water hadn't warmed up any so we decided to head to Greek Fest down the street! It was a great time with great food only I decided on a greasy corn dog instead of a Gyro! What was I thinking!! I didn't want to wait in the line is what I was thinking! LOL!! After an hour or so we headed back home to get LA fed and ready for bed. The girls showed up around 715 and LA went to bed. I cooked dinner and we sat around and talked for a couple of hours then we realized how late it was and decided no movie we were all tired! It was yet another day of fun!

Sunday morning LA woke up and told me that she wanted to have a PJ day and I agreed! You see I forgot to mention that she is in this whole spitting up everywhere stage.. On Friday we changed outfits 4 times! So you can imagine how the laundry builds up quickly! So I was all for staying in pj's and not getting out of the house. We played all day long.. She's starting to sit up by herself just for a few seconds at a time.. Not long enough for me to snap a picture by myself..Lol! And loves to roll around like a roly poly minus the poly because she hates to roll from her belly to her back..hahaha! It was a very nice day just hanging out together by ourselves and not leaving the house!! Last night was a whole other story! Wiggles likes to wiggle her way out of her sleeping incline and wedge herself in the corner.. Oh this started around 3am and didn't end until around 430am. I would be just about a sleep and hear her go. I would look over at the monitor and sure enough she had moved to the corner to bury her head!! Up I would get walk across the house put her back, pop the paci in her mouth, cover her up, and head back to bed... I think I did this 7 or 8 times this morning.. She didn't mind I actually think she enjoyed it..LOL!! Actually I know she did because as soon as I would open her door I would hear that oh so sweet squeal and laughing!! Yep she soooo enjoyed it!! These are the times that I hate that she is not in our room and across the house!! LOL!! Now tonight since Jacob will be home she won't move at all... But this time I got pictures to prove it!! LOL!! So that was our weekend in a long nutshell!!

First day at the pool!!

Jacob got off work early today so we decided to take Lily Ann down to Stephanie and Brians for a fun day at the pool! We all had a blast..especially Lily Ann. She LOVED it!! She was kicking around like no other..She has such fair skin that I was worried that she would fry! I piled on the sunscreen and put her hat and sunglasses on. Which by the way she kept on the entire time. I was shocked! We only kept her in the water for about 20 minutes.. But that 20 minutes was all she needed. She had completely worn herself out! We were smart and packed the packnplay which we put in the shade and she took a short nap then hung out and played in it for a while! You would have thought we had packed for a weekend vacation..LOL!! I think we have a little swimmer on our hands!!

These are the days when I thank God the most for blessing me with my precious baby girl and my wonderful husband!!

Someone fell asleep while eating dinner!!

So Lily Ann opted for 2 short naps of 45 minutes each today! So when it was time for her to eat her green beans for dinner she had had enough!! She fought it for the longest time and when her belly started to get full she was out like a light!!

I was folding laundry today and Lily Ann kept scooting her way over to the basket so we decided to put her in it!! LOL!!

What a way to start off Friday the 13th!!

This will be a very quick blog seeing that I only have a few minutes before my lil stinker wakes from her nap! So everything started out great this morning. LA actually slept in til almost 9 am which was great! I got up changed her, called my mom, made her bottle, feed her, and put her down to play. (This is our normal routine in the mornings!) I was on the phone with one of my girlfriends catching up while LA was playing in her piano bouncer thing! I noticed that she was starting to get fussy and it was just about nap time so I quickly hung up the phone picked her up and immediately smelled a poopy diaper, which isn't uncommon this time of day, only it was a lot stronger than usual! Still didn't think any differently but when I picked her up it was wet on my arm! I'm thinking " it must have come out of your diaper a little bit no big deal." "No big deal!" So I lay her on her changing table, pull her feet out of her pjs and push it under her. I open the diaper and it looked normal to me and I didn't see anything on her legs where I thought she may have leaked out! Not until I lifted her chunky legs up and pull the diaper out from under her did I see the explosion!! "No big deal!?!" "OMG!!!" completely up the back, all over the changing table. I was in shock! I quickly started pulling out wipes left and right.. Trying not to vomit all over my child! Cleaning her as quickly as I could put another diaper on her (in case there were more to come!) put her in her crib, started the bath so I could scrub her down! Called my mom because I didn't know what to do with the Pj's...hahaha!! Needless to say she got scrubbed down put in fresh clean clothes, sheets on the bed, because she was only cleaned off with wipes when I put her in there and hadn't had her bath yet! She went right down for a nap and I disinfected anything she had come in contact with.. Took the toys off the crib, scrubbed her bath seat, changing table, bouncer seat, and bleached out the sink where I washed her pjs out!! I must say I knew the day would come and I figured it would have already came but hey what can I say!! One explosive diaper in 5 months isn't bad!! Next time I will know exactly how to execute my plan..LOL!!

Guess who's 5 months old today?!?

WOW!! Does time fly!! I can't believe that Lily Ann is already 5 months old! It seems like yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital. She is growing like a weed. I was going through her closet yesterday cleaning it out to make room for the new clothes that I bought and I can remember thinking that it would be a long time til we make it to the point in the closet where her clothes are now. It made me sad because I don't even really remember her being that little and she was tiny tiny! She is doing so much now!! We finally put her in her crib last Saturday night, it was Jacob's idea (I couldn't believe it!). I am so thankful that we spent the extra money and got a video monitor because I can see what she's doing all night.(Which is sleeping! LOL!) I hate the fact that she is on the other side of the house as us but am glad that I can actually keep an eye on her! Her new favorite way to fall asleep is to pull her blanket over her head which freaks me out so as soon as she goes for that blanket I'm in the room..HAHAHA!! I was talking to Erika last night when I heard Jacob yell "Erin hurry she fell asleep with the blanket over her head!" It wasn't really over her head it was the angle of the camera but I moved the blanket back down anyway. Here's a list of things that she is/started doing:

*Rolls, rolls, rolls! I'm not talking about those thighs either! LOL!! As soon as we put her down she starts to roll either from back to belly or belly to back.

*Scoots.. if she's not rolling she's scooting on her back.. She gets those big ol legs a going and will scoot. The other day I had her down on her mat playing and got a call from her Uncle Luke who is in Iraq I stepped out of the room for a couple of minutes and she had scooted her way to almost the kitchen. I couldn't believe it!

* Eating baby food. We have lucked out she has liked everything that she has tried so far: carrots, squash,sweet potatoes, green peas, and green beans. We will be starting fruits in a few days!

* Sleeps from around 7:15pm til 8:30 am. With 2 naps during the day. 10am-11am and 2:30-4!

* Loves to read books, play in her bouncer, and on the floor.

* We are working on sitting up by ourselves.

*Taking baths in the bath tub. Which she absolutely loves. I bought her a seat so she can sit and play in the water. Don't worry I'm always right there!

* Starting to laugh, we have only heard her deep belly laugh one time and that was at PawPaw's viewing at the funeral home. (Ooopppsss!!)

* She has discovered her voice and I have a feeling that she is going to be like her Aunt Erika and not stop talking once she starts.

* Loves to stand on those legs!

*Tries to put everything in her mouth and gets upset when it won't go in! LOL!! She has her Daddy's temper.(I'm working on that with her!LOL!)

* Loves to have staring contests with Amber (our Dog)!

* Loves to ride in the car and go for walks!!

I'm sure there is more but I can't think right now! LOL!! She is starting to realize when I'm not around which is not a good thing. If one of the girls is holding her and I'm there she's fine but if I walk out of the room she starts to cry. This has only happened a few times and not on a regular basis. I hate it because I don't want her to cry but I also don't want her to solely depend on Jacob and I, so I let her cry for a few minutes usually they distract her with a toy then she is fine. We are so lucky to have such a happy baby. There is no better feeling than walking into her room in the morning and those big blue eyes meet yours and then a big big smile. It melts my heart every time! I never knew that I could love something so much! Mommy and Daddy love you so much Lily Ann!! We are so thankful to have you in our lives. You are truly the best thing that has ever happened to us!! You were well worth the wait!!
