Poor Aunt Erika!! LOL!!

So yesterday Lily Ann and I ventured up to Fayetteville so Erika could clean my teeth and to get my hair done, since I didn't get a chance to get it done before I left Florida! So last night after we got home from a wonderful dinner with the girls, Sarah, Sara, and Courtney, I had yet to set up Lily Ann's packnplay. Not to mention that we were about an hour off our schedule plus she was hungry and when she is hungry she has to let the whole world know!! LOL! So Erika and I decided that I would feed her the first half of her bottle then she would do the second half while I set up her bed. So I get through feeding her and then Erika says:"Hand her over, I'll burp her!" and I said:"Don't worry I'll do it!" but she was so adamant about burping her so I handed her over! As soon as Erika put her up on her shoulder Lily Ann let out the biggest wettest burp I think I had ever heard! The look on Erika's face was priceless! Erika looks at me and says:"That's how it's done!" well I knew that she was going to projectile from the way the burp was and I sat back and waited for it! God, I wish I had my camera because what happened next is only seen in movies!! All of a sudden there was another little burp and then the flood gates opened up! I mean spit up everywhere and Erika couldn't move she was soooo shocked! I about fell off the couch laughing so hard! Well lil miss Lily Ann wasn't done with her yet! She spit up more and she hadn't spit it out yet! Erika turns to look at her and Lily Ann does the same with Erika! All of a sudden out of now where Lily Ann coughs at the same time Erika goes to say something to here!! SPLAT!! She spits all over Erika's face and in her mouth!! HAHAHAHA!! I have never seen Erika's eyes get so big and turn ghostly white! I don't know if it was the spit up or she really turned white!! Erika turns to look at my,gagging mind you, and her face looked like someone had taken a paint brush full of white paint and just splattered it all over her face!! I feared for my daughters life at this point, I could just see Erika dropping her and running off!! I have never seen Erika move so fast in my life, running for her life towards the toilet. She couldn't even speak because she had a mouth full! I lost it and couldn't stop laughing then Lily Ann decided to chime in as well!! I could hear Erika in the bathroom yelling and trying to brush her teeth and filling her mouth with mouthwash to get the taste out! If she would have stood still long enough I could have got the best picture ever! We have been joking with Erika that Lily Ann was going to throw up in her mouth because Erika will pick her up and hold her above her head after she has eating! Well now she really did!! Poor Poor Aunt Erika.. Needless to say I think she is done feeding my child!!

Lily Ann's weigh in!!

Well so Lily Ann was supposed to go back to the doctor on this past Monday for a weight check up since she had only gained the 4 ounces over a month. So I've really noticed how she has really started to put on the weight. Her little legs are turning into chubby baby legs and her belly looks like she drinks a 12 pack of beer everyday!! LOL!! So I just know that she has actually gained weight and we have been trying to find a scale that we can weigh her on to find out! As many times as we have visited the hospital to visit my Grandfather you would have thought that we would remember to get her weighed but we always forget. So today Erika, Lily Ann, and I were up visiting my Mom and the ladies she works with, we were all talking about how we should get her weighed and I was saying how I need to get her on a scale that weighs pounds and ounces. Well I'm sitting there and then all of a sudden a light goes off in my head and I start laughing as I'm looking at my mother and say "Don't you guys have a postage machine in here the tells you the weight of items that you are shipping?" Mom laughing at me says "Yes, but it's very small and we can't lay her on it!" To which I respond "Well she can stand on it.Let's try it and see what it says!" So we proceed to the workroom and Mom turns on the machine as we are both laughing hysterically. I place Lily Ann up on the little scale, which is the size of a picture frame that holds a wallet. She puts her first foot down and for some reason keeps moving her other leg. We finally get her to stand up as I'm holding on to her. (By the way she loves to stand and is very good at it, of course with help!) By this point we are laughing so hard we can't see.. Finally Mom says "For some reason it's not giving the weight but if you want we can ship her First Class for $1.17" I lost it and couldn't stop laughing! I wonder how much insurance would be?? We have been laughing about it all day!! When Jacob called to check in on us I was telling him about it and I don't think I have ever heard him laugh so hard in my life! He said that we can ship her to him!! LOL!!

Here's some pics that Mom took of her the other day as I was giving her a bath!! Which she absolutely loves!!

Lily Ann meeting her Grandpa B and Uncle Matt!

Okay so I'm a horrible person because I completely forgot to post about when Lily Ann met her Grandpa B and Uncle Matt!! My mind has been out of whack every since we arrived last week! LOL!! This should have been posted earlier in the week, but like I said my mind is lost in la la land! I didn't even take pictures until Thursday night when we were over visiting! So the pics you see are from Thursday night.

I took Lily Ann over to see them Sunday after we got back from Ozark visiting PawPaw. It was so nice to see the way that her Grandpa B just loves her. She already has him wrapped around her little finger. He would sit in the rocking chair with her and then as soon as she would make a peep he would get up and walk around with her! She just loves to watch him and she just smiles every time he talks to her! Another really neat thing is they have a crib that is over 50 years old, and if I remember right it was Jacob's Uncle's crib,(Don't hold me to it) All four boys also slept in the crib. You can see it in the pictures! Lily Ann also loves to watch her Uncle Matt.. Her little eyes just follow him where ever he goes.. She's always looking for him! Here are some pics!

Poor fussy baby!!

I consider myself to be such a lucky person especially with Jacob's work schedule! Man are we really missing him today! Lily Ann has been fussy all day long! No matter if she is held or not! I finally had to put her down in her packnplay and walk away because she was so tired and wouldn't sleep. She finally cried herself to sleep in less than 5 minutes. I stood outside the door until she did! LOL!! I wanted to go in and pick her up but I knew better. It was by far the hardest thing I've had to do! So I decided to hop in the shower while she was napping. 10 minutes later she was crying again so I went in and put her passy back in and she stopped crying and then looked up at me and spit it out and started crying again! So what do you think I did next? I put it back in and the same thing happened again!! LOL!! After the third time I put it back in and made a dash for the door because I knew I would be playing the game all day if I didn't. She once again cried for less than 5 minutes and was out like a light! 10 minutes later she started crying again so I stuck my head in and her eyes were closed while crying so I knew she was ok. I came up to the living room and got online to check my email, now mind you I had told my dad earlier that we need to let her cry because I can't be doing this all day long, next thing you know the crying stopped and then here comes my dad carrying Lily Ann into the living room saying I can't stand to hear her cry!! Go figure! All that work for nothing but I guess that's what Grandparents are for right?

I usually have Lily Ann to myself for 48 hours straight while Jacob is on duty and every other weekend, which he usually gets to come home at least one night on the weekends when he's on duty. It's so nice to have his work schedule and he's such a big help. My Mom, Dad, and sisters have been helping out a lot too but there's just something that is comforting knowing that he's there! Tuesday can not get here quick enough! LOL! I'm not complaining by any means because I know that I have it easy, I'm just stressed and I know that she is feeding off of my emotions! I have faith that when she wakes up everything will be better, oh yeah and Grandma will be home from work!! HAHAHA!! I think I'm going to invest in a shock collar for my dad and every time he goes to the door to get her I'm going to shock him!! LOL!!

Lily Ann meeting her PawPaw and Aunt Erika!

Well Lily Ann and I finally made it to Arkansas on Saturday night! We flew out of Tampa at noon and arrived in Little Rock a little after six! It was a very long day to say the least. Lily Ann is now considered "that baby" on the plane. Traveling alone with a 2 1/2 month old is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, and I'm not lying! She did awesome on our flight from Tampa to Charlotte so I decided to grab something to eat in the airport and as soon as I got my food and sat down all of the sudden out of no where something evil took over my baby girl! LOL! She apparently wanted to eat right then and there and I couldn't get her bottle to her quick enough. Everyone was looking at me like I was some crazy mother. Non the less she ate and by the time she was done I wasn't hungry anymore! On the flight from Charlotte to Little Rock was a whole other story! We sat on the runway for about 20 minutes and then all of a sudden the evil attacked her again! HAHAHA!! The poor guy next to me was so sweet. I'm holding a screaming baby and trying to make a bottle so I said to him here hold this bottle while I mix everything. LOL! HE was such a good sport. Lily Ann ate and went to sleep for the whole flight except for the last 10 minutes when we were descending. Her ears were bothering her so I gave her a bottle with a little water which seemed to help! I couldn't get to Emily and Erika quick enough to pass her off! I was totally exhausted and so was she! Erika hadn't ever met Lily Ann before and it was love at first sight! We all went and ate dinner fed the baby and left for Fort Smith! We finally got home at 11 pm. Lily Ann and I had been traveling for 16 hours total and we needed bed! My hats go off to any parent traveling alone with a child!!

On Sunday morning we got up and headed to Ozark to see my grandfather, PawPaw! He has been waiting to meet Lily Ann! He has been really sick for a few weeks and all he wanted was to finally see her! We took the boppy so he would be able to hold her. She would just stare at him and grin and he couldn't do anything but smile back at her! She finally fell asleep in his arms and it was the sweetest thing ever! Lily Ann loves her PawPaw!! Here are some pics that we took. I've also added a pic of Lily Ann and Aunt Erika. I have the pic of when they first met but it's on my camera and my cord is back in Florida!! So I'll add those pics next week when Jacob gets here!

Coming home to Arkansas!

Well we had a good Thanksgiving yesterday! Lily Ann, Luke, and I went to the station to have Thanksgiving dinner with Jacob since he was on duty. I finally got to talk to my grandfather last night and it seems he has taken a turn for the worse. He was diagnosed with Lung Cancer last year and it has actually gone away for the second time. Three weeks ago he fell in his carport and broke 3 ribs puncturing his lung. He has been in the hospital since. He's loosing weight and is now having trouble talking. He keeps asking when will he get to see his first Great-Granddaughter. Dad told him the other day that we would be home in 2 weeks (which was the original plan) but Lily Ann and I are flying out tomorrow. When Emily brought him some Thanksgiving Dinner he said that he needed it to last 2 weeks. Mom, Emily, and Erika said that he is very peaceful and is waiting on Lily Ann. Erika said she had always heard people talk about how some people hold out for certain things and now she understands! I am very excited about coming home and getting to see everyone, I just wish it was under different circumstances. We will be flying out of Tampa and into Little Rock, (since I didn't want to pay $1200 to fly into Ft. Smith from here..LOL) We will be staying until December 30th. Jacob will be driving home on the 9th with Amber! (What a sight that will be!) I'm very nervous about flying with Lily Ann by myself but I know that it will be okay! Please keep my family in your prayers and I look forward to seeing everyone soon!!

What a fussy baby!!

I was so happy this morning when Jacob had to wake me up to wake up Lily Ann to feed her! She usually sleeps from about 930-6am but this morning is was 7am. Jacob was headed to work so I got up to feed her (which she basically slept through the whole feeding). After her bottle she went back down like she always does and I had to wake her at 1145am to feed her again! I think I just should have let her sleep because she has been fussy all morning and wants to be held! I'm so thankful Jacob is home today to help. I have so much to get done before Uncle Luke gets here in the morning! I'm guessing it was a gas bubble because I just heard Jacob do the "Aawwwww She got me!" HAHAHA!!

Lily Ann is now drinking almost 5 ounces every 3 hours during the day with rice cereal in the bottle to get her to fatten up! I'm very surprised that she took to the rice so well. We had problems with her in the past with spitting up so much but since we have added the rice she hardly every spits up! We are trying to get her on a schedule now since she sleeps so well at night! Lily Ann is not one for naps during the day she usually has about 2-4 "cat naps", which if we are lucky may last 30 minutes but are usually 10-20 minutes, just long enough to get in the shower..LOL!! (I never knew I could shower and get ready so quickly! LOL) The only time she ever really sleeps during the day is if she is in her car seat and we are out running errands! Here's what we do typically during the day:

6am-Wakes for feeding/Diaper change
7am- Goes back to bed
11:30am- wakes up for feeding
12:00pm-Change diaper get dressed for the day(This is usually when we get our errands run for the day) we are lucky if we get a 15 minute nap in!
2:30pm-Feeding/Diaper Change
3:00pm-tummy time on her play mat and sometimes Baby Einstein movie (which she loves!!)
3:45pm-Rock her to sleep for a nap!
4:30pm-up from nap!! HAHAHA!! (Sometimes she will sleep longer but usually not!)
5:30pm Bottle/Diaper Change
6:00pm-Fix dinner/try and get some housework done/She usually will fall asleep for a little bit around this time!
7:45pm-Bath time (which is her favorite!!)
8:30pm-Last bottle
9-9:30pm- Bed time!

We are so lucky that she sleeps through the night! I will take "Cat Naps" during the day over waking up every 2-4 hours in the night! LOL!! If you have any advice on getting her to take longer naps during the day I would appreciate it!!
